~Company Holds Camp Merry Heart Workday for Third Consecutive Year~
PARSIPPANY, N.J., May 12, 2004 - On Friday, May 21, more than three-dozen corporate staff members from Century 21 Real Estate Corporation headquarters will not be reporting to the office as usual. Rather, they will spend the day honing their home remodeling and construction skills during the company's third annual Easter Seals Camp Merry Heart Workday.
The representatives from Century 21 Real Estate Corporation will spend the day completing needed renovations and improvements on several cabins at Camp Merry Heart - Easter Seals' summer camp for children and adults with disabilities located in Hackettstown, N.J.
The volunteers will trade in their computers, cell phones and personal digital assistants for hammers, paint brushes and power tools in order to complete much needed renovation projects including replacing a roof, repairing fences, general landscaping and painting.
"The commitment of Century 21's staff to Camp Merry Heart has proven invaluable over the past two years and Easter Seals New Jersey is thrilled to have the CENTURY 21® team back again," said Brian Fitzgerald, president and CEO, Easter Seals New Jersey. "The repairs and restorations that Century 21 so generously provides help ensure that our campers will have a comfortable and memorable experience, both this summer and throughout the year."
Since 1953, Camp Merry Heart has been providing a recreational setting for people with disabilities. Each year, the camp welcomes more than 2,000 people with disabilities who come for fun, fitness and friendship.
"In addition to providing a great service to the men, women and children who look forward to spending time at Camp Merry Heart during the summer camping season, this annual workday serves as a great opportunity for teambuilding, cooperation and camaraderie for our CENTURY 21 staff," said Van Davis, CEO and president. "We're proud to be of service to Easter Seals New Jersey, and we hope to continue our relationship with Camp Merry Heart."
